QUETTA: Collectorate of Customs Appraisement Collector Abdul Waheed Marwat has said that Pakistan Customs is all set to start a new Customs Station at Padani in Zhob at Pakistan-Afghan border, which would facilitate trade between the two neighbors. Padani station is expected to be started in two months.
Sources told that Collector Appraisement Abdul Waheed Marwat held a detailed meeting with Governor Baluchistan Amanullah Yaseen Zai and discussed the COVID-19 SOPs as well as trade facilitation with Iran and Afghanistan.
During the meeting, Marwat informed Governor Baluchistan that IT and banking infrastructure was not available, which was delaying the opening of Padani station.
Governor Baluchistan has ordered the civil administration to provide all the required infrastructure and security to Customs so that the new Customs Station is operanalised as soon as possible.
