ABU DHABI: Engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company Nuberg has won a USD 76 million (about Rs 505 crore) project for an alkali plant in Abu Dhabi. The Indian company has won the project from Emirates Chemical Factory of Saif Al Khaili Group, a UAE-based conglomerate, the company said in a statement today.
“The USD 76 million project envisions to set up a 150 TPD Chlor Alkali / Caustic Chlorine plant in Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (KIZAD), UAE, which will produce caustic soda and other chlorine derivatives such as Caustic Soda, Chlorine, Sodium Hypochlorite and Hydrochloric Acid,” the statement said.
The contract is a breakthrough project for Nuberg as it is the only Indian company spearheading the EPC industry on global front for turnkey project engineering services and solutions, it said.
