KARACHI: Collectorate of Customs Appraisement & Facilitation (West) Deputy Colector Ali Mohtashim Minhas has issued a circular advising visitors to avoid unnecessary long sit-ins at visitor’s areas due to outbreak of novel coronavirus.
The circular issued in this regard read “owing to the probable outbreak of novel coronavirus, public visiting Customs House is advised to avoid unnecessary long sit-ins at visitor’s areas. It is highly recommended for the general public to reduce exposure and limit the risk of spread/transmission of the novel coronavirus.
For the health and well-being of all concerned, the visitors are requested to wear masks and follow other safety instructions as already displayed on the notice boards. Meeting in this regard has already been carried out with the Karachi Customs Agents Association.
In order to facilitate public and discourage unnecessary visitors, two sepoys are deputed at the entrance of the Collectorate to collect the written requests/applications of the general public and convey the same to the officers concerned for redressal of the grievances.
The circular further stated that for any further assistance, the CHO-Office , Appraisement and Facilitation (West) may be contacted.
