ISLAMABAD: President of National Bank of Pakistan Syed Iqbal Ashraf on Tuesday said that NBP did not write-off even a single penny during the last ten years.
“The ratio of Non Performing Loans (NFL)s of NBP is 16.3 percent as compared to 12.4 percent of the other banks ratio because they wrote-off the loans”, he said while talking to reporters after signing of NBP, Mobilink and Waseela Bank agreement for creating the required financial services ecosystem in the country.
He said that the NBP had advanced loans of a total amount of Rs 780 billion to the borrowers across the country”.
He said that under Prime Minister Youth Programme the bank had received 60,000 applications.
He pointed out that 16,000 applications were processed for loans under this scheme.
