OSLO: Norwegian gas exports to Europe eased on Wednesday morning on a drop in flows to France, partly offset by higher deliveries to Germany, data from gas system operator Gassco showed. Pipeline flows from Norway to Europe were running at 333 million cubic metres (mcm) per day by 0750 GMT compared to a winter peak of 357 mcm/day hit in February.
Gas production capacity at the Norwegian continental shelf was reduced by 5.7 mcm/day due to an ongoing outage at the Gudrun field. The following table shows Norwegian pipeline gas flows, measured in mcm/day, compared with the previous session’s average: Destination Real time Pvs business Change day (mcm) Britain 108 106 2 Germany & Netherlands 144 136 8 France 37 54 -17 Belgium 44 42 2 Total 333 338 -5 NOTE: Real-time gas export figures are based on gas fed into the system at a certain time and calculated as a daily average.
Levels can vary throughout the day as producers adjust the amount of gas they export, according to changing nominations, or orders, from customers. Volumes for the previous business show delivered gas.
