OSLO: Norway equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Diversified Financials and Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 2.21% or 0.03 points to trade at 1.16 at the close. Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) added 1.55% or 2.2 points to end at 144.1 and Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) was up 1.07% or 1.4 points to 132.1 in late trade.
Biggest losers included BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG), which lost 3.19% or 1.38 points to trade at 41.87 in late trade. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 3.07% or 0.37 points to end at 11.69 and Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) shed 2.90% or 1.75 points to 58.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 105 to 78 and 20 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 1.21% or 0.59 to $48.32 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.97% or 0.50 to hit $51.12 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.86% or 10.65 to trade at $1244.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.54% to 9.1516, while USD/NOK fell 0.16% to 8.4624.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.67% at 99.49.
