OSLO: Norway exported 84% more seafood to Korea than the year before, bringing the total to 46,000 tons, The Norwegian Seafood Council announced on Monday.
Mackerel was the largest driver, being 77% of total exports and increasing the total number to NOK 1 billion ($129.5 million), reports Korea Bizwire.
In addition, Norwegian seafood products had a “remarkable” performance in Korea’s salmon and king crab markets.Norway is now the largest exporter of mackerel to Korea.
