TOKYO: Android handsets below $200 are everywhere these days. Another Android-based device by Nokia, the Windows Phone 8.1-running Nokia Lumia 630 is now out for consumers.
These handsets are both deemed to support a premium design and a sturdy built, plus a competitive price that’s worth noting. The body of the Nokia Lumia 630 is encased in a plastic exterior with bold colours, very much similar to the physical feature of other Lumia handsets. This smart phone also has a highlighter-style shade on the body and its true colours continue to the phone’s buttons as well. Trusted Reviews note that it has a “neat and refined look.”
The Nokia X2 has a slightly improved display with the introduction of Nokia’s Clear Black polarization technology. Nokia Clear Black polarization technology gives the Nokia X2 a more improved display. “It can make a mediocre display look OK, and a good display look great, at least in my experience,” Nokia X2 is 0.44-inch thick and 150 grams heavy, while the Lumia 630 is 0.36-inch thick and 143 grams heavy.
Snappers of Nokia Lumia have always been highly regarded, but the snappers of both these devices are nothing to write home about. Both the X2 and Lumia 630 has a 5MP rear-facing camera with the X2 having a VGA snapper with LED flash. The Nokia Lumia 630 has no front-facing shooter.
In terms of internal storage, the Nokia X2 starts with 4GB of internal storage but with MicroSD support can accommodate up to 32GB. The Nokia Lumia 630 has 8GB of internal storage with Micro SD support that can support up to 128GB in storage.
Power packs of the devices only varies very slightly, the Nokia X2 has an 1800mAh battery unit while the Nokia Lumia 630 has a 1830mAh battery pack.
