SHIPMENTS: The National Marine Manufacturers Association reported that wholesale shipments of traditional powerboats were up 4.6 percent through May.
That was among the NMMA’s control group of manufacturers, which represents 68 percent of the market.
Growth was led by the outboard and inboard boat segments, the NMMA said. Corresponding dollars were up 10.2 percent.
Personal watercraft shipments were up 27.6 percent year over year through May and the NMMA said they continue to be a high-volume industry growth driver.
