Nisar Muhammad Khan-led new FBR team all set to meet ‘expectations’

ISLAMABAD: The new team members of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), led by new FBR Chairman Nisar Muhammad Khan, are known for their good repute and honesty among the board members.

The new members, selected purely on merit, have shown excellent performance in their previous job tenures. New Customs Member Nasir Masroor was performing his duties as Reforms and Automation member in the FBR before assuming the new charge.

He has also been the Customs Tariff chief, Karachi Appraisement collector and Enforcement-South chief collector. Belongs to 12th common, the new Customs member is a junior of the present FBR chairman.

New Inland Revenue-Policy Member Rehmatullah Khan was earlier serving as a director general.

New Inland Revenue-Operations Member Muhammad Ashraf Khan was shifted from the Large Taxpayer Unit in Karachi, where he had been serving as chief commissioner.

Former Regional Tax Office-I Lahore chief commissioner Waqar Ahmed replaced FBR Administration member Shahid Hussain Jatoi.

The new team has to work with full zeal and zest to come up to the expectations of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar. FBR Chairman Nisar Muhammad Khan and his team assured the finance minister of their full dedication towards the duties assigned to them, and to lift the board to the highest standards.
