ISLAMABAD: The National Highway Authority (NHA) has spent a sum of Rs2,393 million (about Rs2.5 billion) for rehabilitation and construction of 78.2km of Nowshera-Chitral Highway (N-45).
An NHA official Tuesday told APP that the amount has been spent under PC-1 of Improvement and Widening of N-45. He said that Rs500 million were allocated and released for the improvement of 78.2km Nowshera-Dir-Chitral Road (N-45) under PSDP in 2014-15.
Moreover, he said that an amount of Rs826.48 million were also committed during fiscal year 2014-15 for maintenance works of N-45. Giving details of the maintenance categories, he said that for
Rs143,091,737 were utilised for routine maintenance of N-45 during previous fiscal year, Rs397,241,791 were spent on periodic maintenance, Rs183,827,410 were used for rehabilitation and Rs 102,316,818 were utilised for special maintenance.
