ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided that the recruitment tests for customs and Inland Revenue (IR) vacancies will be conducted through National Testing Service (NTS) to bring transparency.
As per detail, NTS will hold only written test against the vacant post while the interviews of the selected candidates will be conducted by the high ups of the FBR. The agreement will be signed between FBR and NTS in this regard soon.
The new system of recruitment would eliminate the culture of nepotism to get the job in the key department of the state. The candidates will be selected on the merit basis and on performance in the written test and interview.
According to federal government guide line regarding recruitment, NTS conducts the written paper for 70 marks while the 30 marks are given in interview test. But the FBR Chariman Tariq Bajwa has played an important role by bringing changes in the guide lines. For FBR posts, NTS will conduct the written test of 90 marks instead of 70 to select the best and capable work force and 10 marks have been assigned for interview instead of 30. It is important to mention that marks of interview are essential while no one will be failed in interview test.
