ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has demanded committee report about 8% tax on services sector from Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
According to sources, Deputy Director National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Sajid Ali has sent a letter to the FBR chairman in which he demanded to provide a copy of committee report about the 8% tax imposed on services sector.
It is pertinent to mention here that the FBR has imposed at least 8% tax on services sector which is strongly opposed by the services sector. Meanwhile, the finance minister has constituted a committee under the chairmanship of Haroon Akhtar to resolve the issue between the services sector and the FBR.
The committee has conducted meetings with the representatives of each sides and and now preparing the final report sources added. Meanwhile the services sector proposed to 1% tax but the FBR want to impose at least 3 to 5% tax on services sector sources said.
