MULTAN: The Regional Tax Office (RTO) collected more than Rs4 billion during the last three days of December 2018.
Sources told that Customs Today that due to decline in the sale of High Speed Diesel in the jurisdiction during December, RTO Multan observed almost Rs2 billion shortfall from the assigned collection task in December.
Sources told that the Regional Tax Office has accelerated the revenue tax collection measures on 28th, 29th and 31st December 2018-19. Sources told that Multan tax authorities collected huge revenue collection on last three days to achieve their assigned revenue target of December.
The Regional Tax Office made tax collection of almost Rs 150 million from M/s Shamim and Company in wake of different taxes during December.
Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) deposited Rs600 million taxes in the month of December. The Federal Board of Revenue Regional Tax Office collected Rs1.025 billion from taxes from M/s Fatima Fertilizer Limited in last few days.
Multan Tax Authorities collected almost Rs 2 billion from M/s Bank Al-Habib Limited under the head of advance income tax and withholding taxes. M/s Sheikhoo Sugar Mills Muzaffargarh has deposited almost Rs 127 million to the tax authorities Multan in wake of their due taxes.
However, Regional Tax Office Multan is making full efforts for the tax collection from various corporate companies and tax office also remained opened till late night in this regard for collection of taxes from corporate offices and taxpayers in the Jurisdiction to meet given revenue task.
