MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Preventive Anti-Smuggling Organization has impounded vehicles and smuggled items of Rs374.69 million in different actions during the month of November of the on-going fiscal year 2019-20.
According to details, Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has carried out various anti-smuggling operations in the Jurisdiction in the month of November. Anti-Smuggling Organization has continued their rigorous crackdown against smuggled vehicles and goods in the jurisdiction. The Collectorate has enhanced the monitoring of the various routes adopted to transportation of smuggled vehicles and goods in the Jurisdiction.
Multan Customs Anti-smuggling Organization has detected 41 seizure cases of worth Rs.374.69 million throughout November in their actions in different areas of Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sahiwal, Jhang, Sargodha, Mianwali and Sadiqabad.
These impounded vehicles include Toyota Land Cruiser, Toyota Hilux Surf, Toyota Premio, Toyota Vitz and others. Majority of seized vehicles were found non-tampered during examination of Anti-Smuggling Organization. Anti-smuggling staff of Multan Customs has also seized huge quantity of non-customs paid bitumen, High Speed Diesel Oil, cigarettes, gutka, tiles, tyres, skimmed milk powder, cloths, dry fruits, spices etc.
Multan Customs Preventive Anti-Smuggling squads have reduced the movement of smuggled items in the region due to their extensive crack down in the region.
