MULTAN: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) seized 10,000 liters of smuggled High Speed Diesel (HSD) during operation near Sakhi Sarwar.
Sources told Customs Today that Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation received information that oil tanker loaded with smuggled High Speed Diesel will moved from Sakhi Sarwar region to Multan.
Additional Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation Zahra Haider formed special team of Field Intelligence Unit (FIU) to intercept smuggled High Speed Diesel. Customs Intelligence team comprising Inspector Muhammad Adnan Chandio, Inspector Mubeen and others to take action against smuggled High Speed Diesel.
Field Intelligence Unit of Dera Ghazi Khan started the patrolling of suspected routes to enhance vigilance and intercepted the suspected oil tanker filled with High Speed Diesel.
Customs Intelligence intercepted the Hino oil tanker bearing registration number C-2255 during their action. Customs Intelligence staff found in their examination that oil tanker was filled with 10,000 liters High Speed Diesel (HSD) oil and driver was asked to produce import documents of said petroleum products and its oil tanker.
Driver of said oil tanker failed to produce any legal documents of the said High Speed Diesel and field intelligence unit of Customs team seized the Oil Tanker with filled HSD and formed seizure report against non-customs paid Oil Tanker and recovered High Speed Diesel. The net worth of seized HSD Rs1.2 million and value of Oil tanker was almost Rs2.5 million.
