MULTAN: The Punjab government has given a Rs 2 billion target to the Multan Excise and Taxation Department for the fiscal year 2014-15.
The department was assigned Rs 143 million target in the fiscal year 2013-14.
The Multan Excise and Taxation Department achieved the tax revenue target of Rs 143 million in the fiscal year 2013-14 due to a collective teamwork.
Multan Division Excise and Taxation Director Saeed Ahmad told Customs Today that his department would address the grievances of excess property tax. He said after the appeal from citizens and business community 50 percent property tax was reduced.
He said that he would probe out the complaints about the tax notification issued before the reduction of property tax from his department.
