MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement & Compliance (E& C) has formed grievance redressal committee for resolving genuine issues of business community.
The Federal Board of Revenue has directed Collectorate of Customs Enforcement & Compliance (E&C) vide letter C.No.1(41)E&C/2020 to form grievance redressal committee. Assistant Collector (Headquarter) Raissa Khanewal has established four-member grievance redressal committee of Customs Collectorate Multan on the direction of Federal Board of Revenue.
Grievance Redressal Committee will include four members headed by Collector Muneeza Majeed. Senior member of Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Faisal Saeed, Executive member of Women Chamber and Industry Multan Filza Mumtaz and Chairman Multan Customs Agents Association Basharat ullah Sheikh were also members of redressal grievance committee.
Grievance Redressal Committee will address the genuine issues through a formal channel by taking information feedback related to Customs operation and cargo clearance. Said committee will also address the complaints related to poor service delivery, misconduct, maladministration, transgression, corruption etc.
Committee will address grievances and complaints of taxpayers and general public pertaining to customs matters and personnel for ensuring optional service delivery and transparency in customs operations.
