MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement & Compliance (E&C) recovery branch has issued warrants of attachment M/s Khair International for recovery of outstanding amount of Rs13.558 million.
According to the details, Multan Customs Collectorate has issued several recovery notices to M/s Khair International located in Qadeerabad Multan having NTN # 2140903-0 for payment of recoverable taxes pending from almost one year.
The recovery department of Multan Customs intimated the defaulter company several times to clear the pending and outstanding charges but it remained hesitant to deposit the dues.
Deputy Collector Customs Amjad Aman has appointed Superintendent Habib-ur-Rehman attachment officer for recovery of outstanding amount.
Multan Customs has decided to attach their moveable and immovable properties and bank accounts in order to recover the outstanding dues from defaulter company.
The Customs Collectorate has issued several notices to the defaulters under sub-section (1) of section 202 of the Customs Act 1969 for the payment of outstanding dues. Upon his failure, the department has finally decided to attach moveable and immovable property of the suspect by appointing an officer for the recovery of dues.
Therefore, the Multan Customs has initiated stern action against the company to recover the outstanding dues before the end of economic year 2018-19.
The Multan Customs will also attach bank accounts of defaulter for recovery of outstanding amount under Section 202 of Customs Act, 1969 after completion of formalities.
