Multan Customs conducts forensic examination of 21 seized vehicles

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs team conducted forensic examination of twenty-one impounded vehicles.

According to details, Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization impounded these vehicles during their crackdown in the jurisdiction. Anti-Smuggling Organization submitted seizure cases of these non-duty paid vehicles after completion of investigations.

These seized vehicles were waiting for their Forensic Science Laboratory examination test to verify their status about tampered and non-tampered.

It is pertinent to mention that forensic Science Laboratory examination of seized vehicle has been mandatory to ascertain the status of seized vehicle for the proceedings of seizure case in the Customs Adjudication.

Multan Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization has requested Police Forensic Science Laboratory to send a special team of forensic experts for conducting chemical examination of seized vehicles lying in the State Ware House of Multan Customs.

Collectorate of Customs conducted test of 21 vehicles State Ware House which needs forensic chemical examination. Customs Adjudication has also seeks chemical laboratory reports of these vehicles to determine whether these seized vehicles were tampered or non- tampered. Tampered vehicles are not offered in auction so it is necessary for Multan Customs to determine their status.

Forensic examination team will receive details report of vehicles regarding their status of tampered and non-tampered in next week.
