MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office finalized 35 seizure cases of worth Rs79.034 million after completion of trial during May.
According to the details, Customs Adjudication Multan has carried out hearing of different seizure cases for trial during May 2019-20. Customs adjudication collector, additional collector and deputy collector conducted trial of seizure cases according to their authorized power to adjudicate cases.
These seizure cases were detected by Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation and Multan Anti-Smuggling Organization in their different actions in the jurisdiction.
Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication Abdul Mueed Kanjoo has finalized 21 seizure cases of worth Rs14.174 million during May. Deputy collector decided all seizure case in the favour of Customs department after completion of hearing.
As many as 15 fresh seizure cases of valuing Rs.12.332 million have been added for trial in the period of May of the on-going economic year 2019-20.
Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Sumaira Umer decided only five different seizure cases which involved revenue of Rs11.460 million.
The decided case of additional collector includes different smuggled cases of vehicles. Additional collector has decided all seizure cases in favour of Customs department after conclusion of trial based on existing evidences. As many as 13 fresh seizure cases of Rs23.319 million were added in the court of Additional Collector Customs Adjudication in May for trial.
Collector Customs Adjudication Dr. Akhtar Hussain has finalized almost nine various seizure cases of worth Rs53.400 million in the favour of department after completion of trial during May.
Only one seizure of Rs5 million detected by Customs Anti-Smuggling was added for trial in the month of May.
