MEXICO CITY: Mexico’s oil exports fell at an annualized rate of 45.8 percent in February, a month when the trade deficit totaled $724.7 million, the National Institute of Statistics and Geography, or INEGI, said.
Exports totaled $29.02 billion in February, down 2.3 percent from the same month in 2015, the INEGI said in a statement. Oil exports plunged 45.8 percent to $1.12 billion, while non-petroleum exports rose 1 percent to $27.89 billion last month. Imports totaled $29.74 billion in February, up 2.2 percent from the same month in 2015.
