KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) of Preventive has collected a sum of Rs 7913.34 million in the month of July in share of Customs Duty (CD), sales tax, Federal Excise Duty (FED) and Withholding Tax (WHT).
According to details, the MCC Preventive has collected an amount of Rs 867.58 million in share of customs duty in July with increase of 19 per cent, as it had collected a sum of Rs 727.29 million during the same period of last fiscal year.
The Collectorate has collected an amount of Rs 6185.35 million of Sales Tax in the month of July with the increase of 12.7 per cent, as it had collected an amount of Rs 450.68 million during the same period in last year.
The MCC Preventive has managed to collect an amount of Rs 21.89 million federal excise duty (FED) in July with the significant decrease of 93 per cent, as the Collectorate had collected an amount of Rs 308.88 million during July, 2013.
The Collectorate has collected an amount of Rs 838.52 million withholding tax in July this year with the increase of 26 per cent, as the Collectorate had collected Rs 664.76 million during the same period last year.
As per the revenue target, the MCC Preventive will have to collect Rs 98935.65 million during the FY2014-15.
The Collectorate will have to collect Rs16172.20 million custom duty, Rs 67752.68 million Sales Tax, Rs5636.19 million federal excise duty and Rs 9374.58 million Withholding Tax as per the target during FY2014-15.
