Top officials’ reshuffle expected at MCC Lahore

LAHORE: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is likely to reshuffle top executives at Model Customs Collectorate in upcoming week.

According to a source, Chief Collector of Custom central region Rozi Khan Burki, Collectors of Customs Preventive Fazal Yazdani Khan and Muhammad Zahid Khokhar were supposed to be among those could be transferred.

The sources disclosed that Sumera Nazir was expected to be promoted to the post of Chief Collector who is currently working as Collector Adjudication and Nazim Saleem to be the  next Chief Collector Customs Karachi-North,  Junaied Akram is expected to be posted as Collector of Customs Appraisement and Zeba Hai presently working as Collector of Customs Preventive may also be promoted. Junaied Akram and Zeb Hai Azhar had, earlier, been serving the MCC Lahore as Collectors of Customs.

The source told the Customs Today that the transfers and posting will be undertake countrywide which is a routine matter after the end of every financial year. “The board usually does not undertake transfers and posting near the end of fiscal year in order to avoid bad impact of the transfers and posting on the collection target” he added.
