KARACHI: Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) price has been cut by Rs 10 per kg after slide in the prices of petroleum products.
The city district governments teams and Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) have started raiding LGP marketing companies and retailers to implement new prices following marketing companies denial to reduce gas price event after considerable price cut in the international market.
OGRA has imposed fines on 21 companies involved in the black marketing of LPG. According to a statement by LPG Distributors Association spokesman Irfan Khokhar there would be pleasant change in price from November 15 in the market. He appreciated timely action by OGRA to provide relief to the inflation-hit consumers of the country.
The new rates of gas in Karachi Rs 110 per kg and for domestic cylinder Rs 1,270 while in Lahore, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Hyderabad and Sukkar the new price is Rs 125 per kg and Rs 1,450 per domestic cylinder.
However Rs 130 per kg and Rs 1,510 on per domestic cylinder will be charged in Multan, Bahawalpur, D G Khan, Peshawar, Kohat and Bannu while Rs 145 per kg and Rs 1,690 for domestic cylinder will be charged in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, Rs 155 per kg and Rs 1,810 domestic cylinder in Murree, Nathia Gali, Muzaffarabad and Federally Administrated Tribal Areas.
