LAHORE: Chairman LPG Association of Pakistan Farooq Iftikhar has urged Federal Board of Revenue to reduce taxes on the production of local LPG.
Farooq Iftikhar told Customs Today on Thursday that cost of locally produced LPG is very high and local producers are inclining towards using foul means for producing gas by using spurious chemicals. The chairman said that locally produced LPG is costing Rs 80,000 per ton while imported LPG is being imported at Rs 68,000-69,000 per ton, disabling the local produces to compete in the market. He urged FBR to reduce taxes on locally produced LPG and give the producers chance to compete in market.
