LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has barred the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) from collecting taxes amounting to Rs 1.6 million from Arslan Iftikhar till further orders.
The court ordered the appellant to submit the disputed amount with the deputy registrar of the Lahore High Court while the Court also summoned Commissioner Inland Revenue on November 3, 2015.
Prior to this, Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah heard the plea of Arslan Iftikhar. The advocate of the appellant argued before the judge that Arslan Iftikhar is working as director of the FEE Private Limited Gulberge Lahore and according to income tax ordinance 2001 section 144 he is filing the income tax returns for financial year 2012-13, and he always paying all taxes to the FBR regularly.
