ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) spokesperson Shahid Asad has said that the bureau will not terminate a specific number of people through any programme, but officials involved in corruption will not be spared at any cost.
Talking exclusively to Customs Today, Shahid said that officers involved in corruption will have to face consequences under the legal and departmental rules. Action will be taken only if corruption is proved. Honest officials with good reputation will be encouraged, he said.
He said that it is necessary to take action against officials involved in malpractices in order to improve the performance of the institution.
