LAHORE: Traders and industrialists on Tuesday beat up a person for casting bogus votes in the annual election of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).
According to details, a member of LCCI Progressive Group caught an unidentified man red-handed who was casting bogus votes in favour of Associate Class candidates.
Progressive Group supporters beat him up severely and later confined him in the Senior Vice President’s room.
The situation took an ugly turn when traders and industrialists of various groups scuffled with each other. However, the LCCI Management called in the police to control the situation.
