LAHORE: Azad Group of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) said that the group will act as a part of the united opposition in the LCCI 2016-17 election.
The leaders and office bearers of the group disclosed this at a press conference held at Lahore Press Club. The Group patron-in chief Dr Ahasan Waris, founder chairman Raja Hasssan Akhatar, acting chairman Dr Tariq Sadique, general secretary Muhammad Yasin, Mian Imran Asghar, Mian Nawaz, Qadeer Sehghal, Burhan Bhatti, and others were present on the occasion. The group leaders said that the group is working for the last 10 years and it has never merged in any group and in future as well its identity will remain independent.
They added that the group has taken a few important decisions including dismissal of group members’ membership due to their misconduct. They also informed that the Azad group has no connection with such elements which have been dismissed. It was also said that these dismissed members have been spreading disinformation and baseless news.
They said that Azad Group is independent in its decisions and will not accept any inward and outward pressure.
