LAHORE: Anti- Narcotics Force (ANF) seized 18 kg heroine and charas and arrested 6 drug smugglers in various raids in Lahore.
According to details, Lahore Anti Narcotics Force seized a shipment at Sky Net Cargo Office Lahore and recovered 3.6 kg heroin tactfully concealed in five boxes containing child suits, handbags, dinner sets and bed spread items. The consignment was destined for UK.
After initial investigation, it was revealed that the consignment was booked by Muhammad Jamil r/o Mirpur AJK and was to be received by Shamim Akhtar, Aylesbury, UK.
The force also arrested Sherzada r/o Bajour Agency and Muhammad Ehsan r/o Lahore during an operation conducted near Niazi Bus Stand, Bund Road, Lahore and recovered 2 kg opium and 500 gm charas from their possession.
Moreover, ANF also arrested Muhammad Khalid r/o Lahore and recovered 8.4 kg charas from his possession. He was arrested in an operation conducted in the area near Aik Moria Pull, Lahore.
ANF Lahore arrested Mujahid Sattar Alyas Balo r/o Muzaffargarh and recovered 2 kg charas from his possession. He was arrested in an operation conducted at a house in Basti Khudadad, Shair Shah Road, Lahore.
The road check team of ANF arrested Shafique Ullah r/o Peshawar and recovered 500 gm heroin, tactfully concealed in his shoes. The accused was arrested at Main Faisalabad Motorway interchange while travelling in a passenger bus coming from Peshawar.
The force intercepted a parcel at Sky Net World Wide Express, Allama Iqbal International Airport Cargo, Lahore and recovered 950 gm heroin concealed in two thread cones. The seized parcel was intended for Netherlands.
Cases have been registered in ANF Police Stations and further investigation were under process.
