KUWAIT: Kuwaiti Customs arrested two notorious police officers for being involved in child rape and drug trafficking incidents. The first police officer, referred by an Egyptian drug dealer, who got help from him in smuggling 500 gm hashish, was sent to the court while the second one arrested by Salmiya detectives, was accused of raping a child.
Meanwhile, Drug Control General Department (DGCA) detectives arrested an Arab man with possession of 60,000 Tramadol tablets. The man was lured to a trap where he agreed to sell 1,000 pills to an undercover agent. Police found the remaining drugs after searching his house. The suspect admitted that the drugs in his possession were intended for trade. He remains in custody at the DGCA pending legal procedures.
In a separate incident, customs officers at the Abdali border checkpoint (north) arrested a Pakistani truck driver who attempted to smuggle 1,8 kilograms of shabu (meth) into Kuwait.
