MULTAN: Renowned Industrialist and philanthropist of South Punjab Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi has been nominated as a member of the board of directors of Punjab Board of Investment (PBOI) by the Punjab government acknowledging his services for business community and humanity.
Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi is one of the influential businessman and industrialist of South Punjab who have been elected several times president of Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He has also served as caretaker Punjab minister for industries, President of Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan Chamber.
He is also Chairman of Board of Management of Nishtar Hospital & Medical College, President of the board of management of Multan Industrial Estate, Chairman of Multan Dry port Trust. His concerns included technological modernisation in industry, competitiveness, national technology policy, industrial development in Pakistan in general and in South Punjab in Particular, and the relationship between universities and industry.
He said that he will try to bring investment in the Punjab for the promotion of Industry which will also create employment and bring prosperity by opening new doors of opportunity for businessman.
