ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Asif has said that despite several ongoing energy projects, the loadshedding would not be ended till 2018.
Talking to media, the minister said that currently the rural and urban areas of the country were facing six and eight hour loadshedding respectively, adding that there was no loadshedding for the industries.
To another query, he said that as many as 21 projects were giving production less than 50 percent. He said the government had increased the GST from 16 to 17 percent and efforts were on to generate over 18,000 megawatt electricity.
