ISLAMABAD: To create new Shariah standards, the two-day Global Islamic Microfinance Forum is scheduled to be held from November 1, in Dubai.
The forum will also discuss how to build capacity and empower human resource.
According AlHuda CIBE Chief Executive Officer Zubair Mughal, Islamic microfinance is inevitable to eradicate poverty in Muslim world. He pointed out that non-Muslims could also reap benefits of Islamic microfinance as was any bar of religion.
According to an international research, Islamic microfinance has more benefits than conventional microfinance and is more suitable for poverty alleviation. There is only need for exploring new ways to use it. At the moot, role of information technology in Islamic microfinance industry, rural development, Islamic micro insurance, employment opportunities, and micro entrepreneur will be discussed.
Delegates from 25 countries are expected to participating in the forum.
