ISLAMABAD: Collectorate of Customs surpassed its assigned revenue collection target before completion of current financial year as it earned extra amount of Rs2924 million under all heads against assigned revenue target of FY2018-19.
According to details, the Collectorate was assigned revenue collection target under all heads of Rs21554 million while it earned Rs24478 million during July 2018 to 25th June 2019 under head of all duty and taxes, while the Collectorate received Rs20799.71 million under all heads during previous FY17-18 against assigned revenue collection target of Rs 15559.23 million which was also surpassed with extra amount of Rs 5244 million.
It was informed that the Collectorate was assigned revenue collection target worth Rs 7705 million under head of customs duty while it earned Rs8041 million with extra amount of Rs336 million against assigned revenue target of CD for July to 25th June FY 18-19. MCC Islamabad also surpassed ST (sales tax) revenue collection target with huge difference against allocated revenue collection target.
The MCC was assigned revenue target with of Rs9041 million under head of ST against collection of Rs10838 million so the MCC Islamabad earned extra collection of Rs 1797 against allocated revenue target for FY18-19.
The MCC also surpassed revenue target under head of IT (income tax) with extra amount of Rs 567 million before ending of FY 18-19 while the Collectorate of Islamabad was assigned Rs 4111 million for FY18-19 under head of IT against revenue collection of Rs 4678 million.
The MCC also surpassed assigned revenue collection target under head of FED (federal excise duty) with extra amount of Rs 220 million while MCC was assigned revenue collection target of Rs 699 million under head of FED while it earned Rs 919 million during July to 25th June FY18-19.
