ISLAMABAD: Continuing the anti-smuggling drive under the special directive of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), the Islamabad Customs and Motorway Police seized smuggled electronic worth of 3.2 million during a joint action.
According to the details, the Islamabad Customs with full assistance of Motorway Police intercepted a bus bearing Registration No. 9999 on motorway and recovered electronic. The bus was coming from Peshawar to Islamabad.
The custom team led by Assistant Collector Tahir Khattak asked the driver and helpers to show documents regarding the legal import of the items but they remained failed; therefore, the officials confiscated the item under the customs laws.
During the actions, three accused were arrested and a FIR No 12/2016 has been registered against them.
