DUBLIN: A man in 40s has been arrested in connection with an investigation into the seizure of €930,000 worth of drugs.
Yesterday evening, gardai searched a house in Tallaght, Dublin 24 and discovered around 13 kilograms of cocaine with an estimated street value of over €930,000. A small quantity of Ecstasy tablets was also seized.
A garda spokesperson said the man was arrested in a follow-up operation. He is currently detained at Ballymun Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 as amended.
The spokesperson said: “These operations use advanced analytical and intelligence methods to disrupt criminals and dismantle their networks. Drug seizures play a critical role in targeting the livelihood of criminals and reducing their ability to carry out illegal activities. Drug seizures also help protect communities from the devastating impact of drugs and the associated criminality.”
