NEW YORK: Google’s update is slowly getting on most of the Android devices, and Moto X has it too. However, Apple already prepared a new update for iOS 8 and 8.2 arrived in beta.
Test of Android 5.0 Lollipop on Moto X vs. iOS 8.2 beta on iPhone 6.
Android 5.0 Lollipop is finally here and smart phone such as Nexus 5, Moto X 2014 or Moto G were the first ones to try it out. There were minor complaints from the users, who upgraded their devices, but in general, the OS runs flawlessly and it was well received.
iOS 8 experienced some glitches and Apple had to release several updates, the last one being 8.1.1, which fixed a lot bugs that were reported by the users. Meanwhile, Apple worked on another update, iOS 8.2, which is available only for the developers, at the moment.
If you were curious about the speed of iOS 8.2 beta running on the iPhone 6 and how Moto X behaves with the Android Lollipop, a test was performed to compare the two operating systems and the video was uploaded on YouTube.
In the introduction, you’ll be informed about iOS 8.2 beta 1 and its WatchKit tools which will be used by the developers to get prepared for the release of Apple’s Watch, which will happen next year.
Then, you’ll see how the iPhone 6 runs on iOS 8.2 and how Android Lollipop looks on the Moto X, and then the devices are turned off and you’ll see that the Motorola phone responds harder. The same thing happens when they’re turned back on simultaneously, which means that the iPhone 6 is faster and more “eager” for action, even if it has a dual core processor, instead a quad core processor like the Moto X 2014.
You should know that this test is informal and the final iOS 8.2 will have a better speed than the beta version, so the iPhone 6 will run way better in the future.
