ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister’s Adviser on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood says the industries being set up in Gwadar under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will bolster export volume of the country.
Speaking at a dialogue on industrial cooperation under CPEC in Islamabad on Tuesday, he said due to exports-led growth strategy, the value of rupee is stable and exports are increasing. The adviser said the country’s economy is on an upward trajectory as a result of prudent policies of the government and conducive environment for the business community.
He said the power shortfall has ended and now we have surplus energy. Speaking on the occasion, Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing said the expansion of CPEC cooperation in science, agriculture and education will benefit the general public of Pakistan. He stressed that better policy making, infrastructure facilities and industrialisation can lead the country to growth and development.
