GUWAHATI: A truck carrying 390 cartons of country-made liquor allegedly smuggled in UP from Arunachal Pradesh was recovered at a railway crossing here, police said.
The cartons carrying 18,720 quarters of country-made liquor smuggled from Arunachal Pradesh was yesterday seized from the truck, they said.
The driver along with other persons plying in the truck ran away leaving the vehicle behind, police said.
Police have impounded the vehicle and sealed the consignment.
An investigation is underway in the matter and no arrest has been made in this connection so far, police added.
