ISLAMABAD: The new executive members and office bearers of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry were sworn in the 30th Annual General Meeting of ICCI. The Founder Group Chairman Abdul Rauf administered oath to Muzzamil Hussain Sabri as president, Muhammad Shakeel Munir as senior vice president and Muhammad Ashfaq Hussain Chatta as vice president while Munawar Mughal, vice president.
Speaking at the occasion, Muzzamil Hussain Sabri, newly elected president of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry thanked the Founder Group and the ICCI members for posing confidence in his abilities and giving him an important role. He assured that he with his team will make utmost efforts for serving the cause of business community. He also appreciated the good work of outgoing team and affirmed that he will take forward its initiatives for the betterment of trade and industry.
Outgoing President Shaban Khalid congratulated the new executive members and office bearers for their unopposed election and hoped that they would contribute their best to resolve the issues of business community. He also highlighted the major initiatives undertaken during his tenure to address the issues of trade and industry. He especially mentioned that during his tenure, ICCI took up many issues of businessmen with CDA for making lease renewal process easier, allowing change of all trades except for negative list and upgrading CDA byelaws to cater to the needs of current day’s business and industry.
Founder Group Chairman Abdur Rauf also congratulating the newly elected members and said that all decisions in Founder Group are made on merit and efforts are made to pick up the best talent to lead the business community. He said business community should get united on all important issues and be on the same page for protection of their rights.
