HYDERABAD: The Regional Tax Office (RTO) has arranged a seminar to introduce new Voluntary Tax Compliance Scheme to the representatives of the local business community.
Hyderabad Chief Commissioner Dr Mohammad Ali Saand gave introduction of the tax amnesty scheme to the representatives and members of Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Small Traders.
The RTO officials and traders discussed all the aspects of newly launched Scheme. They thoroughly deliberated on insertion of section 99A in Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, eligibility for the Voluntary Tax Compliance Scheme, clarifications regarding service, schemes for non-filers and filers, conditions for the scheme, procedures & payments laid down in the ninth schedule and benefits of the scheme.
The chief commissioner encouraged them to opt for the scheme. The members of Small Traders Association lauded the efforts being made by Federal Board of Revenue and said they found it so useful for the small traders.
After seminar, Dr Mohammad Ali Saand visited the Taxpayers’ Facilitation Kiosks established in main RTO building and monitored all the arrangements being made for the taxpayers.
Commissioner (Zone-I) Qazi Afzal, Commissioner (Zone-II) Zahoor Panhwar, Additional Commissioners Muhammad Shamim, Wali Muhammad Shaikh, Iqbal Ahmed Shaikh, Deputy Commissioners Mumtaz Ahmed Thebo, Ram Chand, Assistant Commissioner Ghulam Murtaza Nizamani, Inland Revenue officers Ahmed Nadeem, Muhammad Irtiza Khan, Muhammad Shafique and Ayaz Dheraj were also present on the occasion.
