HYDERABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Hyderabad has generated Rs175.120million Customs Duty and taxes against the target of Rs1395.26million during five days of April 2017.
The department collected Rs 47.495million Customs Duty, Rs127.135million Sales Tax, Rs0.000million Federal Excise Duty (Special FED) and Rs0.490million Withholding Tax (WHT) during the abovementioned period.
The MCC Hyderabad received Rs175.120million during five days of April 2017 and expects to achieve Rs269.66million Customs Duty (CD), Rs1.104million Sales Taxes (ST), Rs3.6million Federal Excise Duty (FED) and Rs18.00million Withholding Tax (WHT).
The major tax sources were dry port, Hyderabad state warehouse, Hyderabad Sukkur and Larkana division, Huffaz Seamless Pipe Industries, Crescent Steel, Omni Polymer Industries, Rema Cooking Oil and the Pakistan State Oil.
Under the supervision of Hyderabad Customs Collector Agha Shahid Majeed Khan, Additional Collector Rehmatullah Vistro, Deputy Collector Shahid Ali Abbasi, Deputy Collector Mushtaque Shani and Statistical Revenue Mohammad Yaqoob Pasha played important roles in revenue collection, officials said.
The ASO also aborted various smuggling attempts and made big seizures including non-duty paid vehicles, different cigarettes, Iranian high speed diesel and other goods worth millions of rupees.
