BUDAPEST: Hungary’s three-month rolling unemployment rate dropped to 4.1 percent in July-September from 4.2 percent in the June-August period, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) said on Thursday.
It said the number of unemployed dropped to 188,500 from 195,500, while the number of those at work rose to 4.45 million from 4.44 million. The ranks of the employed also include 190,900 people in public works programmes, as well as 110,800 people working abroad, the KSH said. In the same period a year earlier the unemployment rate stood at 4.9 percent.
