KARACHI: Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s (KCCI) Acting President Shamim A. Firpo has stated that huge potential of bilateral trade between Pakistan and Indonesia do exist.
Exploration of new business prospects and new trading avenues need attention of both governments. Regular participation of Indonesia companies in KCCI’s Flagship My-Karachi, Oasis of Harmony since 2004 reflects exceptional bilateral trade and excellent diplomatic and political relations between Pakistan and Indonesia. He urged the Founding President of Pakistan-Indonesia Business Forum (PIBF) Abdul Majid Haji Muhammad who is also the Ex-President of KCCI to use his good offices and influence both the governments to expedite enforcement/implementation of Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) between Pakistan and Indonesia.
A delegation of Pakistan-Indonesia Business Forum (PIBF) headed by its Founding President Abdul Majid Haji Muhammad visited KCCI to meet its Acting President Shamim A. Firpo. Exchanging views with President PIBF Majid Haji Muhammad, Acting President Shamim Firpo said that implementation of PTA will open new chapter of economic and commercial cooperation and will also bring closer the business communities of both countries to boost the bilateral trade ties.
