Subsequent premises search at the man’s residence nearby resulted in a further seizure of a small amount of suspected methamphetamine, suspected cannabis and a set of drug-packaging paraphernalia. Another man found in the premises was also arrested.
The two men, aged 50 and 53, and the woman, aged 28, all claimed to be unemployed. They were arrested for suspected trafficking in dangerous drugs.
The case is still under investigation.
Under the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, drug trafficking is a serious offence. The maximum penalty is life imprisonment and a fine of $5 million.
