HONG KONG: About 2.4 kilo grams of Ketamine drug worth $530, 000 discovered by Hong Kong Customs at Lok Ma Chau Spur Line Control Point. An incoming passenger aged 17 was arrested whose plastic bags contained them.
Customs officers intercepted an incoming female passenger at Lok Ma Chau Spur Line Control Point yesterday afternoon and found the suspected ketamine contained in plastic bags placed in her rucksack.
The 17-year-old arrestee, who claimed to be unemployed, was charged with one count of trafficking in a dangerous drug. She will appear at the Fanling Magistrates’ Courts tomorrow Under the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, drug trafficking is a serious offence.
The maximum penalty is life imprisonment and a fine of $5 million.
