HONG KONG:The day before yesterday, customs arrested a 29-year-old man at the Macau Ferry Terminal after they found 13 grams of suspected cocaine and seven grams of suspected methamphetamine.
Customs officers found the suspected drugs hidden in the man’s sleeves after he was intercepted on his way to board a ferry to Macau.
Our struggling Houdini, who claims to be a casino employee, is scheduled to appear at the Eastern Magistrates’ Court today.
Since last Christmas, customs officers have arrested six departing passengers at the China and Macau ferry terminals as a result of special anti-drug-trafficking operations.
The maximum penalty for drug trafficking is life imprisonment and a fine of HKD5 million.
