HONG KONG: The day before yesterday, Customs arrested a 20-year-old in Kowloon City after they intercepted him and found about 1.3 kilos of suspected cannabis buds on him. The drugs have an estimated street worth of HKD186,000.
Officers found 14 grams of suspected cannabis on the man himself as well as 1.3 kilos distributed among 95 sealed tea bags in his travelling bag.
We wonder if he got the idea from that “herbal refreshment” joke in Clueless…
The man — who claims to be unemployed (but who certainly is entrepreneurial) — was arrested under the suspicion of trafficking in dangerous drugs. The investigation for this case is ongoing.
The maximum penalty for drug trafficking is life imprisonment and a fine of HKD5 million.
